My National Flag: Representation of the Nation

The piece of fabric with a unique design and colour is known as a Flag, and it may be quadrilateral or rectangular. The identification of any nation is mostly observed by it, basically in that environment where the communication is challenging and demanding. The flag which indicates and illustrates a given nation is a Flag and is fluttered by that nation’s government. The colours and symbols that a national flag hold, show particular meanings.

                  My National Flag is the flag of Pakistan carrying the name Parc̱am-e Sitārah o-Hilāl.

History of My National Flag(PAKISTAN):

              Syed Amir-Uddin Kedwaii is the man, Who designed the flag of Pakistan. A few days before the freedom, on August 11, 1947, the flag was espoused by the Constituent Assembly. The flag was designed on the base of the original flag of the Muslim League.

            Indian Viceroy Louis Mountbatten‘s 1947 proposal for the flag of Pakistan, effectively the flag of the Muslim League but with a Union Jack in the canton was rejected by League leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah because he felt that a flag featuring a Christian Cross alongside the Islamic Crescent would not be accepted by the Muslims of Pakistan. Before the Second World War, Muslims and Hindus lived together under various kings which they called “Raja” hence the British Raj. Many Muslims formed the All India Muslim League. After the Second World War, when the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the flag of the Muslim League served as the basis for the flag of Pakistan.

Representation of Nation:

       My National Flag contains two colors of Green and White. The colors, one of which is green represents the Muslim majority, and the other a vertical white stripe hoist, represent the Non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan. The crescent on the flag represents progress whereas the star represents light and knowledge. Pakistan’s flag symbolizes Islam and the rights of religious minorities.

      Not only My National Flag, but all the national flags of the world also represent their own nations.

Some Important Protocols for National Flag:

• None of the flags must flutter higher.
• When all the national flags are flown alongside, the flag should never be flown lower than the other flags.
• When the provincial, military, and national flags are displayed, the national flag must be higher.
• The national flag must be on the right side when there are only two flags, in case of three and odd it must be placed in the center.
• Flown in darkness is the desecration of the state flag.
• It must be flown or lower ceremoniously.
• The national flag must not be trampled or set on fire.
