It was stated that the military convoy carried ammunition. More than 20,000 people have died in the mass violence carried out since 2009 by the terrorist organization Boko Haram, which has existed in Nigeria since the early 2000s.
The organization has also carried out attacks in the country’s border neighbors Cameroon, Chad and Niger since 2015. At least 2 thousand people died in the attacks of the organization in the Lake Chad Basin.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a condolence message regarding the death of 31 soldiers in the terrorist attack on a military convoy in Borno State of Nigeria.
In a written statement made by the Ministry, it was learned with regret that 31 soldiers lost their lives in the carried out military convoy in the Borno State of Nigeria on 25 April 2021. We strongly condemn this heinous act of terrorism and offer our sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the friendly and brotherly people and government of Nigeria.
