Vaccine Passport Protested in London. Opponents of a vaccination passport application in England took to the streets in the capital London and held a demonstration.

Thousands of anti-vaccine passport demonstrations were held in Hyde Park, one of the largest parks in London, the capital of England. Protesters marched from the park to the city center, accompanied by slogans against the vaccine passport. While it was observed that most of the protesters were not wearing masks, people wearing masks were also asked to remove their masks. Social distance rules were also ignored during the march and demonstration. The protest, which lasted about 4 hours, ended without incident.

CRITICAL IN EU COUNTRIES

The introduction of the green passport (vaccine passport) caused some criticism within the EU (European Union). Many countries, including France and Germany, highlighted that the passport risks causing inequality and discrimination between vaccinated and unvaccinated European citizens.

WHICH VACCINES WILL BE VALID IN THE EU’S VACCINE PASSPORT?

The “health passport” or “vaccine passport” developed by the EU, which aims to facilitate travel and revitalize the tourism sector as summer holidays approach, aims to prove that the person does not have the risk of Covid-19 transmission. The vaccine passport, which will be in the form of digital or paper with a QR code, will contain information that people are vaccinated against Covid-19, PCR or rapid antigen test result or cured the disease.

In the vaccine passport, which will be valid in 27 countries of the EU, it was announced that only Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZenaca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will be accepted.
